Built around the project configuration
The KLEMM KR 708-3GW is a crawler-mounted double-head rig for cased heat-loop boreholes in shallow-geothermal projects. Separate casing and drill-rod drives allow the external casing to advance through unstable overburden while the internal string continues drilling.
The platform offers 100 or 130 kN mast configurations, a 129 kW CAT engine, and a published 15.6 t operating weight. KLEMM rates the current model for geothermal bores up to 300 m and casing depths up to 100 m where the selected mast, tooling, bore design, and ground conditions permit.
